Dr. John A. Szweda, age 86, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. Born on Nov. 19, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., to John and Aleksa Szweda, John was the youngest of their 10 children. After serving in the Asian theater during World War II, John earned a medical degree at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Szweda practiced medicine in Beaver Dam, Wis., from 1952 until his retirement in 1992. He is survived by his five daughters, three sons, 15 grandchildren, and beloved wife of 60 years, Alice.
