Barbara Mae Zwickl, 81, passed away on Friday November 19, 2021, in Raclin House Center for Hospice Mishawaka. Barbara was born in South Bend on December 8, 1939, to the late Larry E. and Sophie (Stajkowski) Gapski. On September 6, 1958, Barbara married Phillip James Zwickl who survives. Also surviving are her children, Phillip James (Michele) Zwickl Jr., Kevin Michael (Mary) Zwickl and Beth Ann Zwickl; grandchildren, Joseph Zwickl, Kathryn (Daniel) Florey, Madeline Zwickl, Taylor (Paul Harris) Zwickl and Brandon Zwickl; and 2 great grandchildren, Thora Florey and Athena Florey. Barbara worked as a secretary/bookkeeper working for Dutron, Prudential Insurance, 100 Center, and for 40 years at Romy Hammes Inc. for Jerry Hammes where she was known in the business community as Barbara Zwickl from Jerry Hammes’ office. Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday November 23rd in St. Bavo Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mishawaka.
