Funeral services for Richard Craig "Dick" Moore, rural LaGrange, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, in First Presbyterian Church, corner of Michigan and High Streets, LaGrange. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange. Callers will be received by Dick's family and friends at First Presbyterian Church, LaGrange, on Friday, May 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. Dick, 74, died Wednesday, May 3, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He suffered from esophageal cancer. Born September 20, 1931, in Burket (Kosciusko County), the youngest child of John Ernest and Lois Margaret (Johnson) Moore, Dick was raised in Burket, Mentone and Mishawaka. He had lived in LaGrange County the past 47 years. Dick was married to the late Martha Doyle Moore nearly 43 years. She died December 13, 1997.Among Dick's survivors are a son, John Thomas Moore, rural LaGrange; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Steven Moore and the Rev. Ruth Chadwick Moore, Carmel; a son and daughter-in-law, Dan Richard Moore and Evelyn (Lahman) Moore, Sturgis, Michigan; grandchildren, Hadley Elizabeth Chadwick Moore, Bryan Matthew Richard Moore, John Philip Chadwick Moore, Rebecca Anne Moore, and Emma Andersen Chadwick Moore; a dear friend, Mary Ann Kalka, Mishawaka; and a sister, Mary Alice (Mrs. John R.) Hess, Mishawaka.
