MISHAWAKA - Lillian M. Baranowski, 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at St. Paul's in South Bend. Lillian was born on October 12, 1920, in South Bend, to Casimir and Constance (Przybylski) Rapalski. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Adam, Joseph, Al and Chester Rapalski, and sister, Ann Filipek. On August 23, 1947, she married Joseph Baranowski, who passed away on July 8, 1965. Surviving are her sons, James (Gloria) Baranow-ski of Berlin, CT, Thomas (Anita) Baranowski of Colorado Springs, CO, Joseph Baranowski of Winona Lake, IN, and John (Margaret) Baranowski of Carmel, IN; and five grandchildren, Thomas, Tina, Meredith, Grace and Amy Baranowski. Lillian worked for School City of Mishawaka for 20 years in the cafeteria. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, a member of the Rosary Society, Harvest House and the Hospital Auxiliary. Visitation will be on Monday, October 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October 20, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Monsignor Bruce Pie-chocki officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
