Anton N. Nyerges

Services for Anton N. Nyerges, 71, of Richmond KY, formerly of South Bend, who died at 12:45am Sunday at Patie A. Clay Hospital, Richmond, will be at 10am Wednesday at Zahoran Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today in the funeral home. Mr. Nyerges retried in 1970 from the US State Department in foreign services; he retired in 1988 from Eastern Kentucky University as a professor of social sciences. He was born August 14, 1917, in South Bend. On October 10, 1943, in South Bend, he married Helen Stonevic, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nora Baker of Bethesda MD; a son, Endre of Gainesville FL; two grandchildren; two sisters, Agenes Tomolak and Mary Wozniak, both of South Bend; and a brother, Joseph N. of South Bend.
