Carl Baranyai was born 19 Sep 1898 in Repczeszemere, Sopron County, Hungary. His parents were Karoly Baranyai of Repczeszemere and Maria Dezso of Ivan, Sopron County, Hungary. He emigrated to the US on the SS Rotterdam, arriving in New York 1 Dec 1923. He stated that he was coming to see his father, Karoly, in South Bend. On 27 Oct 1927, he married Rose Kiss, the daughter of Michael Kiss(also known as Kis-Visi and Visi) and Cecelia Cserpes. Rose was born in South Bend 24 Aug 1910. She died 31 Oct 1939. Michael and Cecelia were from Kapuvar, Hungary; they married in South Bend 2 Dec 1905; Cecelia later married Louis Nemeth in South Bend. I can't find a death record for Michael. On 19 Jul 1941, Carl married Jolanda Veng.
