SOUTH BEND -- Margaret Mary Nutter, 88, of Londonderry Lane, South Bend, passed away at Hospice of St. Joseph County. Margaret was born in South Bend on June 24, 1916, to John Pulaski and Praxeda Palicki, who preceded her in death. She lived in South Bend all of her life. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Chester Pulaski; and two sisters, Clara Hosinski and Victoria Piechocki.She is survived by one son, James B. (Gail) Nutter of Perry, Michigan; and three daughters, Patricia Ann (Ken) Kopinski of South Bend, Barbara Ann (Tom) Kondor of Winter Haven, Florida, and Margaret (Peggy) Ann Berreth of South Bend, with whom she was residing at the time of her death. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Jenn) Nutter of Pine, Colorado, Katherine Nutter of Perry, Michigan, Scott (Mary) Kopinski of South Bend, Keith (Jen) Kopinski of South Bend and Kim (Ron) Cornelis of South Bend, Michael (Lara) Kondor of Seminole, Florida, Deborah (Scott) Kahler of Gainesville, Florida, Diane (Charles) Thompson of Lake Placid, Florida, David (Angie) Kondor of Gainesville Florida, Jeffrey (Margaret) Berreth of South Bend and Jennifer (Boyd) Frederick of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and 11 great-grandchildren, Claire and Anna Nutter-German of Perry, Michigan, Kylie Kopinski of South Bend, Kelseigh and Ashlyn Kopinski of South Bend, Noah and Christian Kondor of Seminole, Florida, Bradley and Alexander Kondor of Gainesville, Florida, and Shawn and Jenna Berreth of South Bend. Several nieces and nephews survive, Kathryn M. Kerr, Mary Frances Luber, Thomas and Daniel Pulaski, all of South Bend, and Sharon Nash of Milford. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper at Oliver Plow Company, AUK Foods, Ethan Allen Furniture and Christ the King Church. She was a member of the Polish National Alliance. She was also a member of Christ the King Church for 62 years and was an active member of its prayerline. For the last few years she greatly enjoyed spending time with her children in turn and being a grandmother and great-grandmother. When we think back over the sweet memories, we know why she is a treasure of our hearts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005, in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
