SOUTH BEND - Margaret B. Prentkowski, 83, of South Bend, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2007. Margaret was born on July 5, 1923, in South Bend, to Bert and Antoinette (Malecki) Grzesk. On October 9, 1943, in South Bend, Margaret married Alex J. Prentkowski. Preceding Margaret in death were her husband, Alex, on April 3, 2005; her parents; a son, James Prentkowski; and a brother, Richard Grzesk in 1999. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ann (Michael) Carson of South Bend; a son, Terrence Lee Prentkowski of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Bonnie Harbor, James Prentkowski, Michael Carson II and Tracey Carson; and great-grandchildren, Alex J. Prentkowski, Brooke Carson, Sidney Carson and Sam Carson. Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, and was a sales clerk at Wyman's Department Store. Private services will take place, with entombment in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum, St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is assisting the family with arrangements.
