Alice Mary Ann (Sikorski) Digirolamo of South Bend passed away on Friday, September 15, 2006, in her residence. Alice was born in South Bend to Stephen and Lottie (Walkowiak) Sikorski. Her parents, brother, Stephen Sikorski Jr., sisters, Henrietta Sikorski and Lucille Tafelski, all have preceded her in death. On April 26, 1958, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church in South Bend, Alice married Joseph Digirolamo, who survives. Also surviving Alice are her daughter, Lisa A. (David) Stopczynski; son, Carmen S. (Leslie) Digirolamo; grandchildren, Rachel, Kayla Digirolamo, Shane, Abigail and Alexander Stopczynski; and a brother, Clement Sikorski. Alice worked as a receptionist at Tom's Hair Design for 14 years, and was also the former owner of Alice's Beauty Salon. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking, and traveling with her family, also crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation was on Monday, September 18, 2006, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. MAYFLOWER ROAD, SOUTH BEND, where a Rosary was prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place today, September 19, at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN, 46637; or to the American Cancer Society, 601 West Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. We would like to thank the staff at Dr. Juan Garcia's office and the staff at Hospice & Palliative Care for their care. A special thank you to all our friends and family for your prayers and support.
