GRANGER - Betty Louise Samulski, 69, of Granger, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL. Betty was born on February 7, 1944, in Cass City, MI, to the late Milton and Dorothy (Harris) Erard. As Betty Erard, she married Robert J. Samulski on August 25, 1972. Minister Robert J. Samulski survives with two daughters, Wendy (Larry) Garcia and Sheri Casbar; along with grandchildren, Heather Lyles, Rickey Casper, Amanda Casper and Andrew Rea, Shawn (Samantha) Snyder, Amber Green, Christopher (Alexander) Birmingham, Domonique Birmingham. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nichole Louks, and a great-granddaughter, Lila. Three sisters and four brothers survive, Ruth Wolschlager, Donna (Morris) Hastings, Roger (Mona) Erard, Larry Erard, Gary (Pat) Erard, Gerald (Delores) Erard and Geraldine (John) Spenser. Also surviving are her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Paul Tillemans. Betty was employed by Parker Industries as a laborer until her retirement. She enjoyed going to Native American Pow-Wows and also Bluegrass Gospel Jams. Visitation will be held today, May 23, 2013, from 4-7 pm in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, in the funeral home at 1 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.
