South Bend - Helen Jean Isban, 97, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Hamilton Grove Nursing Facility. Helen was born June 21, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Chester and Joanna (Laskowski) Kafka. Helen married Norbert Isban, he preceded her in death, along with a son, Gregory M. Isban; brother, Richard Kafka; and sister, Margrett Nowak. Left to cherish the memory of Helen is her son, David (Roxanne) Isban; and sister, Patricia Ciesielski. Helen LOVED TO COOK, and spent many hours gardening. She enjoyed making floral arrangement, and always look forward to hanging out with her friends. Visitation for Helen will be 9:00 am to 11:00 Friday, July 16, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd with a Funeral Ceremony to be held at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
