Mrs Josephine Olawski 510 N Walnut died in her home at 8:30 pm Sundayafter an illness of one day. She was born in South Bend and lived here all her life She was married in St Hedwig Church August 3 , 1901 to Valentive Olawskiwho died in 1946. She is survived by five children; three daughters Mrs Clementine Kurek, of Elyria OH, Mrs Florence manning of Hollywood,CA, and Mre Genevieve Singleton of South Bend. two sons Stephen of South Bend a Fireman and Leo with the US Army in Germany; three brothers Steve , Anthony and Frank Kwiatkowski/Flowers) and two sisters Mrs Maggie Niedbalski and Sister Mary Jolanta at St Marys University in South Bend. Friends may call at the residence. The funeral will be conducted at St Hedwig 10 am Thursday the rev Boleslaw Sztucko officiating burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. She was a member of the St Bernice Society, Rosary Society, Polish Womens National Alliance and the Daughters of Poland.
