[N7978] Sandra K. Kucharski
Nov. 28, 1957 - Nov. 27, 2013
SOUTH BEND - Sandra K. Kucharski, 55, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family. Sandy was born November 28, 1957, in South Bend, to the late Sylvester and Stella (Sloma) Skierkowski. On October 10, 1981, Sandy married Eugene Kucharski Jr. who survives along with their children, Kevin (Cheryl) Kucharski and Kristy (Daniel) Parker; and her sister, Pam (Ken) Jones. Sandy was employed with the South Bend Community School Corporation as a field coordinator. She loved to ride with her husband on their Harley or in their sports car to the casino, spending time talking on the phone with her sister, or helping the ladies in the South Bend school kitchens. These few things are examples of what her entire life was centered on, family. Sandy had never-ending compassion for her family and friends. She believed that family should stick together, and she was most certainly the glue. Every waking moment was dedicated to helping those around her, and she will still guide those she loves while driving her blue BMW with all her animals in heaven. Visitation for Sandy will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm today, December 1, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Monday, December 2, 2013, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637; or Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th. St., Mishawaka, IN 46544. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
