SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Linda Sue Hernandez, 69, passed away, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Memorial Hospital. Linda was born February 12, 1948 in South Bend, to the late Edwin & Esther (Demski) Splawski. Linda was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Noffsinger, Jr. on July 10, 1994. On January 10, 1970, Linda married her loving husband of 47 years, Refugio “Sal“ Hernandez, he survives along with daughters, Sharon Hernandez, Diane (Chris) Harrison both of South Bend and Lisa (Gerritt) Gill of Granger; grandchildren, Michael Noffsinger, Brittany Alwine, Dakota Gill, Breanna (Allan) Gorski, Frankie Perez, Adam and Brady Harrison; great-granddaughter, Ariel Alwine; and brothers, Richard Splawski and David Splawski, Sr. Linda was a member of the VFW Post 9820. She enjoyed cleaning her home, working in the yard, playing Bingo, card games, going to the Casino, and her “Stickers”. Linda also enjoyed listening to Elvis, Conway Twitty & older country style music. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom meant the world to her. Visitation for Linda will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00pm. Cremation will follow.
