MISHAWAKA - Joan J. Bauters, 88, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Joan was born in Mishawaka on March 21, 1933, to the late Frederick and Irene (Coppens) Goethals. On March 21, 1987, in South Bend, Joan married Oscar Bauters who preceded her in death on June 21, 1992. Joan is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Joan worked at Koontz Wagner in the accounting department for 14 years, before her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. Bavo Catholic Church in Mishawaka and was a member of the funeral choir. Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:45 on Tuesday, May 25th in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W 8th Street Mishawaka. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am in St. Bavo Catholic Church Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mishawaka.
