GRANGER - Thomas L. Wargo, 67, passed away in his home after an illness surrounded by his family early in the morning of July 17, 2011. He was born January 17, 1944, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Manus and Lucille (Delinski) Wargo. He was a 1962 graduate of St. Joseph's High School and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1966. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, and a was a longtime parishoner of St. Pius X Church. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite "Peggy" Wargo; two daughters, Jennifer K. (Christopher) Freitas of Jupiter, Florida, and Sarah E. Wargo of South Bend; son, Patrick T. Wargo of Dallas, Texas; stepson, Joseph R. Tuttle of South Bend; sister, Lucy Wargo of South Bend; and grandchildren, Christopher John "C.J.," Brendan Thomas and Henry Patrick Freitas, and Olivia Grace Tuttle. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Tuesday in the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. A gravesite service will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Center for Hospice Care or to the St. Pius X Building Fund.
