David E. Zapalski, age 62, passed away in his home on Shavehead Lake in Michigan on October 25, 2021. David was born in South Bend on January 23, 1959 to Casey and Julie Paksi-Zapalski. He graduated from Riley High School and went on to be an apprentice carpenter and turned out to be an excellent carpenter and “jack-of-all-trades”. He had his own construction business. David was preceded in death by his father, who was also his best friend. He is survived by his mother Julie Paksi-Zapalski and his brother Gary Zapalski. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service and burial of his cremated remains will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Southlawn Cemetery. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
