NORTH LIBERTY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am (EST) on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee, Indiana. Committal services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, between the hours of 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm (EST) on Monday, March 2, 2015. A parish Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 4:00 pm. Evelyn, 93, transitioned this life on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at 7:55 pm in Hospice House. Evelyn was born on January 27, 1922, and was a lifelong area resident. She and Ervin J. Arendt were married on August 30, 1952, and together they shared 40 years until Ervin's passing on January 15, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Agnes (Nies-podziany) Jasinski; brothers, Daniel and Raymond Jasinski; and niece, Jackie Grabarek. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Arendt of South Bend, and son, Gregory of Chicago. She is also survived by sisters, Adeline Jasinski of North Liberty and Esther (John) Lubinski of South Bend; brothers, Robert (the late Rosemary) & David (Nancy) Jasinski; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Jasinski, all of North Liberty. Evelyn was employed for 45 years at RACO, Inc., retiring in 1988 and was a lifetime parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
