Mrs. Mary Lepkowski, 81, of 811 Napier St. died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Lepkowski had been ill one week. She was born on Nov. 9, 1884, in South Bend, residing here her lifetime. On Jan. 23, 1917, as Mary Jankowski, she was married to Walter Lepkowski, who survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Ruth Kubiak and Mrs. Sophie Kazmierczak, both of South Bend, Mrs. Gertrude Sobecki of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Irene Anderson of Springboro, Ohio, Mrs. Helen O'Parker of Detroit and Mrs. Amy Wood of Kalamazoo; 16 grandchildren;- six great-grandchildren ; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Ginther of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Tillie Niezgodski and Mrs. Josephine Kalicki, both of South Bend, and four brothers, Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, C. S. C., pastor of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and Chester, Clement and Edward Jankowski, all of South Bend. She was a member of the Apostleship of Prayer and the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. [Information submitted by Find a Grave contributor Paul #48889809]
