SOUTH BEND - James P. "Jamie" Kwiatkowski, 57, passed away at 1:05 pm Friday, June 13, 2014, in his residence. Jamie was born October 4, 1956, in South Bend, to the late Raymond and Dolores (Carpenter) Kwiat-kowski. James is also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Kwiat-kowski. Survivors include children, Marybeth (Robert P.) Arnold of Lakeville, April (Chris Olinger) Kwiatkowski of South Bend, and James R. Kwiatkowski of South Bend; grandchildren, Riley Kwiatkowski, Heaylyn Kwiatkowski, London Kwiatkowski, Jameson Kwiatkowski, and Kaleb Arnold; sister, Mary Burnett of South Bend; former wife, Amy Mitchell of South Bend and his close friend, Pat Pierce of South Bend, IN. Jamie was a parishioner of St. Adalbert. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and would 'sneak' them candy. He enjoyed working on cars and racing them at the track. He also enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends. Visitation for Jamie will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 18, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date in St Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
