GREENSBURG - Anita Virginia Sontchi, 86, of Greensburg, IN, passed away on September 17, 2014. She was born on September 26, 1927, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Rosiejewski) Kil. Anita was a 1945 graduate of South Bend Catholic High School. She married Karl Sontchi on April 21, 1951, at the St. Patrick Hedwig Church in South Bend. Anita formerly worked at Greens-burg Community High School as a Secretary from 1967 to 1973. She retired in 2006 from Union Bank and Trust / Main-source Bank after 33 years of service. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau, Greensburg Country Club, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include: Son, Brian (Kristy) Sontchi of Batavia, IL; Daughter, Vicky (Bill) Fee of Clarksburg; Grandchildren, Greg (Amber) Fee and Erin Fee, both of Clarksburg; Siblings, Irene Suth, Richard (Betty) Kil, Chester (Pat) Kil, Anne McMahon, Virginia (Tom) Pulaski, all of South Bend, IN, and Harriette Dewey of Canada. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Siblings, Wanda Rafinski, Roman Kil, Alice Rakowski, Salomea Van Paris, Henrietta Louden, Henry Kil and Helen Bartoszek; and Nephew Michael McMahon. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, from 8:30 am until 10:30 am, followed by a Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11 am. Father John Meyer will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Batesville.
