Nancy Elizabeth Leighty.
Mrs. Nancy Leighty, aged 67, of 1308 South Clover street, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Memorial hospital after an illness of 18 months. She was born in Burr Oak, Ind., and moved to South Bend 32 years ago from Ladysmith, Wis. Her husband, Melvin, died in 1941. Surviving children are Mrs. Hazel Latham, Dale Leighty, Mrs. Ethel Feltus, Mrs. Evelyn Sester, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Doris Harmon, Mishawaka; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call in the Hollis funeral home after noon today. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. H. W. Eshelman, of the Second Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial will be in the Union cemetery, Marshall county. Published in The South Bend Tribune, Feb 25, 1951
