Peter Kaminski III, 70, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1952 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Peter and Marjorie (Griffis) Kaminski II. On April 15, 1974 in the New Carlisle United Methodist Church, he married Arlene Kleine who survives. Peter is also survived by one son, Peter (Amy) Kaminski IV of Danville, Indiana, two grandchildren, Evelyn Esther Kaminski and Peter Kaminski V, one step granddaughter, Jackie (Zayne) Judd, one sister, Jane (Steve) Sontag of Greenwood, Indiana, three brothers, Thomas (Janine) Kaminski of San Antonio, Texas, Fred (Debbie) Kaminski of LaPorte, Indiana and Dan (Kathy) Kaminski of Cummings, Georgia, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents Peter was also preceded in death by one daughter, Esther Jane Kaminski and one sister, Vicki Sikorski. Pete was a member of the Local 172 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 30+ years. He ended his career at Honeywell after 20+ years as a pipefitter. One of his many joys was his 2 grandchildren who lovingly called him Dzia Dzia. Pete's stories of the past were always full of detail and everyone enjoyed hearing them. He will be missed by his family and friends. A visitation for Peter will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery in New Carlisle, Indiana.
