Kathleen M. Machowiak, 82, of West Washington Street, South Bend, passed away at Memorial Hospital following an illness. She was born August 16, 1939 in South Bend to Stanley and Marie Wesolowski who both preceded her in death along with two of her brothers, Ronald and Robert Wesolowski. Also preceding her in death was her grandson, Ricky Scott and her husband, Ervin Machowiak. Kathleen is survived by her sons, Brian (Lisa) Machowiak and John (Sue) Machowiak, her two daughters, Patti Scott and Jayne ( Steve )Smith. Her brother, Lawrence (Velda) Wesolowski and her sister, Cyndi (Jerry) Cyrier. Her grandchildren: Randy (Natasha) Scott, Shelby (Josh) Lichnerowicz, Devin(Ryan) Noyes, April ( Elier) Fraga, Emily Smith, Ryan ( Jamie) Scott, Ashlee (Allan) Coombes, Dayna Machowiak and Jessica (Matthew) Proctor. 15 great grandchildren and her dog, Benji.Kathleen retired from Montgomery Ward's as a Retail Salesperson, working in the Automotive Department. She and her husband, Ervin, loved to go camping at Mini Mountain Campgrounds. Funeral services for Kathleen will be held at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 South Mayflower Road, South Bend on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11:00am. Friends will be received from 4 until 7pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
