SOUTH BEND - Frank J. Berlakovich, 92, passed away at 9:00 am Sunday, February 26, 2017 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Frank was born on May 14, 1924 in South Bend to John and Helen (Varga) Berlakovich. He was a World War II Army veteran and retired from Bendix. On May 3, 1947 he married the former Agnes Horwarth. She died on July 31, 1999. Frank was also preceded in death by a son, George Berlakovich, a sister, Mary Berlakovich and a brother, John Berich. Surviving are a daughter, Mary (Roger) Banner of Westfield, IN, son, Frank (Carolyn) Berlakovich, Jr. of Argyle, TX, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a sister, Anne (John) Pallo of South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 9:45 - 10:45 am Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
