MISHAWAKA - Randy P. Schnick, 71, of Mishawaka, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at home. He was born on May 11, 1946, to Herman Laverne and Evangeline Bertha (Suida) Schnick in LaPorte, Indiana. Randy is survived by his wife, Joan; his son, Keith Schnick of Mishawaka; a daughter, Kelly Neuklis of South Bend; grandsons, Nolan, Reilly, Willem, and Ethan Neuklis of South Bend; a brother, Kenny Schnick of Bremen; sisters-in-law, Patricia Flannery of Osceola and Diane Davis of North Richland Hills, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Kline; a brother, Herman Schnick; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Schnick. Randy worked in home construction and remodeling in the Michiana area most of his life. His interest included traveling, camping, boating, fishing, drag racing, NASCAR, and many other outdoor activities. He enjoyed campfires, riding around his property on his golf cart watching the wildlife, doing yard work with his Kubota tractor, and working on projects in his pole barn where he loved visiting with family and friends. Randy loved spending time with his dogs, Molly and Dolly, who were always by his side. Randy was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was kind and compassionate - always willing to help a friend in need. He always had a twinkle in his eye. Randy had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loved and appreciated by many people who will really miss him. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 6-8 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. Interment will be on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 10 AM, with family and friends meeting at the funeral home at 9:45 to process to the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
