TOMASZEWSKI, Aloysius Michael, Jr., born January 31, 1927, in South Bend, Indiana, passed away on February 4, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melveen; his parents, Aloysius Sr. and Henrietta and his only brother, Robert. Al was a WW II veteran stationed in Germany. Upon his return to the states, he worked many years for the Bendix and Studebaker Corporations. In July of 1964, following a life-long dream to experience the Wild West firsthand, Al started this journey by taking his wife, their six children, loading them into their Rambler station wagon and heading west for Tucson, where they made their home. He was employed by Sears for many years and later retired from TUSD as a school bus driver. His adventures were many, from exploring the high country of the White Mountains, to the dusty towns of the Southwest. Along the way he made many friends. Some knew him as Al, Big Al or Slim, but to us, he was just Dad. He leaves behind his children, Lynn, Michael, Diane, John, Joan, and Anthony; his grandchildren, Nichole, Eric, Holly and Jessica and six great-grandchildren. He is loved and will be greatly missed, but his children know that his new journey has just begun, with many new adventures to come. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
