MISHAWAKA - Joseph C. Kurnyak, 80, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 1:12 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Joseph was born on March 18, 1933, in Mishawaka, IN. Joseph is survived by his son, Louis Kurnyak of South Bend, IN, and his loving companion, Donna Michalak of Mishawaka, IN. Joseph retired from Bendix where he was a machine repairman, and he graduated from St. Monica's Grade School and Mishawaka High School. He was a trap shooter, an avid fisherman and hunter; he was a member of the NRA and the ATA (Amateur Trap Shooting Association). There will be no visitation or public services for Joseph. Cremation will take place with a private family service at a later date. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on September 29, 2013
