SOUTH BEND - Alfrieda E. Kraska, 95, passed away at 9:45 am on Wednesday, May 9, in Memorial Hospital. Alfrieda was born March 18, 1917 in South Bend to the late Peter and Verena (Kochanowski) Wroblewski. On August 24, 1940 Alfrieda married Louis A. Kraska. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1984. Alfrieda was also preceded in death by sisters, Esther Wensits and Loretta Malone; a brother, Arthur Wroblewski; and son-in-law, William C. Bozman. Alfrieda is survived by daughter, Barbara J. (Larry R.) Van Camp of South Bend; grandchildren, Andrew L. (Amy) Bozman, Kenneth T. Bozman, Sharon L. Bozman, and Jeffrey A. (Misty) Bozman; great-grandchildren, Santana, Ashley, Kayla and Heather; step-grandchildren, Thomas, Terrill, Kris and Todd; five great-step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Alfrieda was a resident at Fairington Living Center where she volunteered in the Nutrition Center and enjoyed spending time with other residents, playing cards and yahtzee. Alfrieda was a very dedicated mother, grandmother and wife. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 11, 2012 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 Ireland Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in St. Hedwig Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior in the church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Gardens at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 331 S. Scott St., South Bend, IN 46601.
