Marsha S. Chmielewski, 52, of Anzio Avenue in South Bend, Ind., passed away after an illness on Thursday, Nov. 25, in her home. Marsha was born on May 20, 1947, in South Bend, to Alex and Ann (Polonka) Lewandowski, who have both preceded her in death. Mrs. Chmielewski was most recently employed with the Notre Dame Bookstore as an accounts payable clerk. Her former employers included the Golden Cat Corporation/Edward Lowe Industries, the former National Bank, and H & R Block where she was a tax consultant for over 20 years. Mrs. Chmielewski was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. On Oct. 10, 1970, in South Bend, Marsha S. Lewandowski married Charles "Chuck" Chmielewski, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Tammy Chmielewski of Mishawaka, Ind., and Robyn Chmielewski of South Bend; a sister, Mary Jane Karczewski of South Bend; a brother, Raymond Lewandowski of Granger, Ind.; and by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 29, in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2120 E. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, IN 46617. Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
