Rosa (Bunny) Santilli of South Bend, IN was 84 years young when she passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. Bunny is preceded in death by her husband Gene, her son Anthony; brothers Frank and Mack Sarvis (South Carolina) and sister Bill Willa (South Carolina). She is survived by her sisters Esta Johnson (South Carolina) and Evelyn Elkins (Michigan) three sons, Joe Santilli of South Bend, Tom (Cindy) Santilli of Mishawaka and Frank (Kathleen) Santilli of Mishawaka. Bunny also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her journey began August 11, 1933 in Loris, South Carolina when her parents Scarbough and Gussie (Lewis) Sarvis welcomed her into the world. On May 7, 1953, Bunny said I do to Eugene (Gene) Santilli. They later moved to South Bend, Indiana where they owned and operated many night clubs including The Scotch Mist Lounge and The Left Bank club. Bunny has touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Friday, August 25, from 10:30am -12:30pm at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka at 1:00pm. Burial will follow where she will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
