SOUTH BEND - Patricia Kukla, 69, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at her residence with her loving family at her bedside. Patricia would have celebrated her 70th birthday on Tuesday, March 17th. Patricia was born on March 17, 1945, in Michigan City, IN, to the late George and Vera (Gueh) Vogeley. On November 16, 1974, Patricia married Norman Kukla in South Bend, IN. Patricia and Norman have celebrated 40 years of devotion and commitment to each other. Patricia is survived by her husband Norman and their 4 children, Charles Zimmerman and his fiancee' Teal Manthooth of Savannah, GA, Jackie Kukla of Mishawaka, IN, William Kukla and George Kukla, both from South Bend, IN. Patricia was a loving and caring grandmother to 6 grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Hatfield of St Petersburg, FL, and Linda Luke of New Carlisle, IN. Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Cecil Norred. Patricia retired as an Avon Product District Manager after 30 years of service. She was a 2-time recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award from Avon for her dedication and training of her fellow employees. Patricia enjoyed playing Bingo, the card game Texas Hold'em on her computer, and playing the slot machines at the local casino. She was a person who loved to camp out, sitting by the campfire and visiting the different campsites on her golf cart. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The memorial service will be held at 12 noon with one hour visitation prior on Saturday, March 14th, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may go to the Heartland Hospice, Mishawaka.
