Richard Eugene Mutzl, 91, of Elkhart, Indiana, died Nov. 21, 2022, in his home. He was born March 20, 1931, to Max and Frida (Wagner) Mutzl in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1949. He married Toshie Ihara on June 23, 1954, in Japan. They had been married for 68 years. He retired from Federal Bryant Machine Co. of South Bend, Indiana, after 27 years in September 1993. Surviving are his wife, Toshie, and three children, Sharon, Edward and Jane. He was of the Jehovah's Witnesses. There will be no funeral service. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with his care. Published by The Elkhart Truth on Dec. 1, 2022
