George (W9MYI)Allinger,age 94 of 31th St.,South Bend,Ind.,died Wednesday at 11:28 p.m. Jan.1,2003 at hamilton Grove nursing Home. George worked as a tool and die maker for many tool and die companies in the Michiana area.He was born Oct.27,1908,in Aurora,Ill.,to the late Theodore and Susan(Schilling)Allinger and has lived in this area most of his life. On June 22, 1929,in South Bend, george married Lucille Andrews who survives.also surviving is one daughter,Ester Louise Farmer of Albuquerque,N.M.: One son Jack Allinger of South Bend;seven grandchildren;and nine great grandchildren. George is preceded in death by a grandson,Eric Farmer,two sisters,and four brothers.
Funeral servives will be held at 10 a. m.Monday,Jan.6,2003, at St,Anthony's Catholic church.Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery,South Bend. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Palmer funeral Home-River park Chapel,2528 Mishawaka Ave.South bend. george was an Amateur Radio operator and a member of Michiana Amateur Radio Club and Michiana reapeter Association. Hwas also a member of St.Anthony de padua Catholic church in which memorial contributions may be made.
