SOUTH BEND - Florence A. Winkel, 89, died Thursday at 1:15 p.m. in Regency Care Center. Survivors include a son, Edwin (Kay) C. of South Bend; a grandson, Carl of South Bend; a brother, Ted Jusczak of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road.

SOUTH BEND - Florence A. Winkel, 89, passed away at 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, in Regency Care Center. Florence was born on Sept. 12, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Chester and Hattie (Klosinski) Jusczak. On Sept. 27, 1944, she married Edwin A. Winkel in South Bend. He preceded her in death in 1961, and she was also preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie Grygiel. She is survived by her son, Edwin C. (Kay) Winkel of South Bend; grandson, Carl Winkel of South Bend; her brother, Ted Jusczak of South Bend; and by many nieces and nephews. Florence was a bridal consultant at the Milady Shop and Robertson's Department Store for many years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to City of South Bend Animal Care, 105 S. Olive St., South Bend, IN 46619. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
