Elsie M. Raes, 97, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Elsie was born in Mishawaka on January 27, 1925, to the late Charles and Elodie (Van De Walle) Raes. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Albert, Camiel and Edmond Raes and a sister, Germaine Auwenrogge. Elsie is survived by her nephew, Charles (Jean) Raes; great nephew, David (Megan) Raes; great niece, Kim (Rob) Pomper; great-great nieces, Kaylie Pomper and Caiya Raes; and great-great nephews, Zachary Raes, Reilly Pomper and Caleb Raes. Elsie worked for Uniroyal for 38 years as a PT Lab Technician until her retirement in 1979. She is a member of the Uniroyal Retirees, Eagles Auxiliary and 9th Hole Golf League. Visitation will be 11 am-1 pm Friday, May 13, 2022, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1 pm with Father Kevin Bauman officiating.
