SOUTH BEND - Richard Kubiak, 89, a 1940 graduate of Washington HS, South Bend, served in the Army Air Corps, and graduated from IU in 48 with a B.S. in Chemistry. Richard married Marianne Groos of Bad Godesberg, Germany, in '49, lived in Cincinnati for 34 years, eventually relocating to Vista, CA. He was preceded in death by wife Marianne in 08. Survived by son, Ralph of Carlsbad, CA; brother, Leonard Kubiak of Torrance, CA; sister, Kay Ivankovig of North Liberty; brother, Arthur Kubiak of South Bend. Memorial service held in Vista, CA.
