Mrs. Lydia Alice ZERBE, aged 83, of 941 South 23rd street, South Bend, a former farm resident of Richland township, died in a nursing home in South Bend Tuesday after an illness of eight months. She was born in White county, Indiana, Jan. 4, 1867, and has resided in South Bend for 15 years. Her husband, George W. ZERBE, died in 1929. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence WILSON and Mrs. Walter BALDRIDGE both of South Bend, a brother, Elijah HARP, Lafayette, two sisters, Mrs. Della NELSON of Brookston and Mrs. Mae ARMSTRONG of Detroit, Mich., and four grandchildren. The body will rest at the Hollis funeral home in South Bend,until funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in River Park Methodist church. Rev. Carl E. BOSSE will officiate. Burial will be made in the Odd Fellows lodge cemetery at Richland Center.
