SOUTH BEND - Mildred Borowski, 95, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Memorial Hospital. Mildred was born November 24, 1917, in South Bend, to the late Stanislaus and Mary (Klosowski) Bajdek. Mildred was married to the late Anthony Borowski. Mildred is survived by son, Timothy (Carol); daughter, Mary-Catherine (Mike) Finley; grandchildren, Wayne (Angie) Borowski, Bruce Borowski, David Borowski, Jason (Amber) Finley and Jessica (Brad) Krupinski; great-grandchildren, Victoria Borowski, Alexander Borowski, John Griffin Finley, Kasey Bauner and Kari Bauner; brother, Eugene Bajdek; and sister, Luella (Richard) Paczkowski. Mildred was part owner of the Dairy Queen for 10 years and worked at Slicks Laundry, King's Clothing Store, Kresge's Five and Dime, and Hojnacki's Meat Market. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Circle of Mercy, Legion of Mary, AARP, and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of Disciples Mission. Visitation for Mildred will be 2-6 pm today, February 17, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, February 18, 2013, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Condolences at www.sjfh.net.
