She was born July 30, 1897 in Logansport to Fred and Bertha (Gangwer) Bassler. She was married in Logansport to Charles Strauch, April 35, 1917. Surviving are three sons, Marion, New Carlisle; Charles, South Bend and Roger, Rolling Prairie; six daughters, Mrs. Roland R. Rogers, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Eleanor Fultz, Mishawaka; Mrs. Eileen Settles, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Joan Harber, Rolling Prairie and Miss Alice Strauch and Mrs. Lovella Hickman, both of LaPorte; 225 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mr. Bertha Bechtold, South Bend, and Mrs. Mary Horn, Grass Creek, and two brothers, Edward Bassler, Macy, Id., and George Bassler, Kewanna, Ind
