Maxine M. Sailor, 87, of Elkhart, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. Maxine was born May 13, 1924 in Millersburg, IN to C.I. and Pearl (Weaver) Schrock. On May 14, 1950 she married Ernest D. Sailor at Fish Lake. He survives. Maxine graduated from Millersburg High School and Tobias Beauty College. She was a hairdresser for 43 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fish Lake and enjoyed knitting and traveling. Maxine is survived by a niece, Michelle Rinehart of Elkhart; two nephews, James (Joan) Stiver of Middlebury, Leslie Parlin of Leadville, CO; four brother-in-laws, Flawn (Nancy) Sailor of Elkhart, Leon (Blanche) Sailor of Elkhart, Richard (Wilma) Sailor of Tulsa, OK, Dana (Kathy) Sailor of Elkhart; a half-sister, Sharon Milton, and her mother-in-law, Marguerite Sailor of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Berniece Parlin, Pauline Stiver, Erma Schrock; two brother-in-laws, Clyde Sailor, Virgil Sailor and two sister-in-laws, Elsie Goodsene and Fay High. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. The service will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Millersburg (Fish Lake).
