[N6203] Source: Ann Timm Rimkus, Chantilly, VA 20151-2450. The oldest daughter of Jerome Joseph Timm and Helen Marie Meers Timm. Thus, her maternal grandmother was Helen Hosinski Meers. Dec 2004

Aunt Laura Hosinski Piechorowski's picture looks just like her sister, our Grandma Meers. I also recognize it from a several of the Hosinski family photos our mom had hanging in our home. I have a HUGE photo with our mother and grandmother, taken shortly after our grandfather was killed. In that photo, Grandma looks just like Aunt Laurie in this picture. Our grandmother always told me that she had it taken, because she wanted to make sure she had at least one good photo of the two of them in case something happened to our mom. Our grandmother suffered a lot of loss in her young life. She was engaged to someone before our grandfather-all I know is that his name was Steve but he drowned a short time before they were to be married. When our grandfather was killed after only 17 months of marriage, our grandmother said she felt jinxed and would never get involved with anyone again. Our Aunt Jo used to tell me stories about the men that would come around and ask our grandma to dinner. She had a car and a job, which in those days was a really big deal, but Aunt Jo said she always said "No!"

I remember my grandmother always telling me it was very easy to remember her anniversary, 5-5-25, since 5 times 5 is 25. They indeed had just one daughter, our mother, Helen Marie Meers, born January 29, 1926. Again, my grandma always told me that my mom was conceived on her wedding night, and she was very glad for that since my grandfather lived for less than 9 months of my mother's life.
