Alice Wozniak
Nov. 6, 1915 - March 9, 2007
SOUTH BEND - Alice Wozniak, 91, of Huron St., South Bend, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, at 11:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Care Center. Alice was born on November 6, 1915, in South Bend, to the late John and Hattie (Gerlinski) Kajzer. On November 5, 1955, she married Theodore F. Wozniak, who passed in 1999. She was also preceded in death by five sisters and a brother. She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn M. (David) Witucki of South Bend and Cynthia M. Wozniak of Peru, IN; three grandchildren, Mark (Cathy) Witucki, Donna (Kevin) Paczkowski and Janet (Jerry) Scott; five great-grandchildren, David and Daniel Witucki, Lauren and Benjamin Paczkowski, and Alexa Scott; her sister, Lillian Sobczak of South Bend; and her sister-in-law, Emily Beitler of Phoenix, AZ. Alice was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and Harvest House. A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph Care Center Trinity Area for their care, especially Rose, Wilma and Stacia, Renee, Giti and Sharon. Visitation will be today, March 11, 2007, from 2 to 6 p.m. in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 12, 2007, at 1 p.m. in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Adalbert Catholic Church or to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of St. Joseph County 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
