SOUTH BEND - Loretta D. Wroblewski, loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 85, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at St. Paul's Sanctuary-Good Shepherd in South Bend. Loretta was born January 15, 1923, in South Bend to Valentine and Veronica (Panicka) Zytowski. Loretta was a manager of clothing and bridal stores including Village Scene and Whitley Bridal Shop. She also taught water aerobics and chair aerobics at Pro Health for 25 years. On July 25, 1942, at St. Stanislaus Kostka, Loretta married Clement C. Wroblewski who survives. Surviving with her husband of 65 years is her son, Clement C. (Fran) Wroblewski Jr. of South Bend; grandchildren, Clement C. (Kelly) Wroblewski III, Melissa Wroblewski, both of South Bend, Jason (Mary Beth) Wroblewski of Toledo, OH; and great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Michael, Ann Marie, and Madeline Wroblewski, and Marquerite Jay. A son, James C. Wroblewski and her sister, Gertrude Wojcik and brother, Leo Zytowski all preceded her in death. Loretta was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, the P.T.A. at St. Casimir Parish and freely volunteered her time for others. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 9135 N. Meridian Street, Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209-7109.
