Josephine K. Block, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in her residence. Josephine was born on February 23, 1923 in South Bend to John and Mary (Keglovich) Fellinger, 3 days after arriving from Gedersdorf, Austria. She was a member of the Elks Club and Our Lady of Hungary Church. On June 17, 1944 she married William L. Block. He died on May 17, 1997. Josephine was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Donald Funk and sister Hermina Kuc. Surviving are her daughter Carolyn Funk four grandchildren Laura (Brian) Hall, Ross (Cris) Funk, Katilyn Nusbaum and Bessie (Nicholas) Buzzard and two great-grandchildren Max and Chloe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, February 12, 2018 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 2-6 Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice.
