Dorothy J. Ghyselinck Nov. 11, 1930 - March 22, 2014 EDWARDSBURG - Dorothy J. Ghyselinck, 83, of Edwardsburg, MI, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away in her home on Saturday, March 22, 2014. She was born on November 11, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Adam and Teresa (Grott) Smorin. On November 25, 1950, she married Robert R. Ghyselinck, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Lambert; and three brothers, Kenneth, Leonard and Norbert Smorin. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Raymond) Siri of White Lake, MI, and Julie Sheets of Osceola, IN; three sons, Michael (Cyndi) of Osceola, Rev. Mark, C.S.C., of the University of Portland, and David (Kelly) of Granger, IN; 12 grandchildren, Christine, David, Amber and Michael Siri, Shaun, Jon Paul "Pete", Sara and Mary Margaret "Maggie" and Samuel Ghyselinck and Cole, Casey and Cade Sheets; her sister, Gloria (Jerry) Egierski of South Bend. Mrs. Ghyselink worked as a secretary for the Priests of Holy Cross. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Edwardsburg, and a former parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, for 38 years. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm Monday, March 24, 2014, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Wake Service will be held at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Edwardsburg.
