James "Jim" R. Ham Jr., formerly of South Bend and Fort Wayne, passed away April 5, 2020.Jim was born August 28, 1953 to James R Ham Sr and Barbara J (Ruszkowski) Ham. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.Jim was a positive, upbeat person with a strong sense of family. Those that knew him well always heard stories about his family, and knew him as a proud father and "Poppy" to his grandchildren.Jim served in the Navy. He was an avid Notre Dame fan having attended many football games over the years.Jim spent over 40 years working in the trucking industry. He spent over 30 years working in various roles for International Truck and Engine/Navistar. For the last 5 years, Jim worked for Truck Country which owns the Stoops Freightliner dealerships in Central and Northeast Indiana. His most recent role for the organization was Vice President of Operations.Jim was looked at not only as a great leader but a wonderful friend as well.He is survived by his children, grandchildren, family, and many friends.There will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
