SOUTH BEND - Cecilia M. (Strominski) Klosowski, 84, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Healthwin Specialized Care. Cecilia was born to the late Leo and Mary (Micinski) Walkowiak on Jan. 20, 1932. On Aug. 12, 1989, Cecilia married Anthony Klosowski, who survives. Along with her loving husband Cecilia is survived by one granddaughter, Jessica (Strominski) Larivee of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, along with 5 great-grandchildren. Along with her deceased parents, she had one son who preceded her in death, Patrick Strominski, and a stepson, Richard A. Klosowski. Cecilia is also survived by a step-daughter-in-law, Rosemary Klosowski, a step-grandson, Anthony (Tony) Klosowski of South Bend; two step-granddaughters, Rebecca Klosowski of Goshen and Katie (Jeremy) Wirebaugh; and a step-great-grandson, all of South Bend. Also surviving are her brother & sister-in-law, Donald and Elaine Walkowiak of South Bend. Cecilia retired from the University of Notre Dame where she worked in the administration office. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11, at 10 A.M in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in South Bend. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Cecilia enjoyed playing euchre, cookouts, word searches, and spending time with her family. In lieu of flower donations, please make memorial contributions to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Healthwin Specialized Care.
