Ronald L. Szmanda, 58, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Washington Nursing Center. He was born on February 27, 1965 in South Bend, Indiana to Jack and Dolores M. (Gittins) Szmanda. Ron was of the Catholic Faith. He was employed as a Woodworker for many years. Family left to cherish the memories of Ron include: one daughter, Sara Higgs of Bicknell; one son, Adam Szmanda of Princeton, KY; seven grandchildren and one sister, Michaeleen (Douglas) Miller of Florida. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mark Szmanda.The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's memory to the Washington Nursing Center, 603 E. National Hwy., Washington, IN 47501.
