SOUTH BEND - Susie G. LaPorte, 57, of Fort Wayne, departed on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, after a long and courageous battle against her illness. She was born July 3, 1952, in South Bend, IN. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Jerry LaPorte of Fort Wayne; daughters, Dawn Baker (Christopher Hanks) of Fort Wayne and Angel (Adam) Vicsek of New Carlisle, IN; brother, Mike VanLue of Benton Harbor, MI; sister, Lori Luchznski of South Bend, IN; and grandchildren, Angel Hower and Jonathon Vicsek; and a host of other relatives and friends. Susie was preceded in death by both parents. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in Carmichael Funeral Service, in Fort Wayne, IN.
